Blog moved

September 28, 2010

This blog has moved to http://blog.rockinfilms.com

We were there yesterday in Sorauren Park in Toronto, documenting the sights and sounds of this festival for a very worthy cause: the air we all breathe and the environment.

See the Clean Train Coalition’s site for more details on the issue – a proposal to run 400 diesel trains PER DAY through densely populated areas of Toronto. No way! Electric now!

Look for our video of the event online shortly.

Recently, author Liz Worth came by for an interview. See more at the blog for the film:  http://www.gothinsideout.com/2010/09/liz-worth-interviewed-for-gothinsideout/

YouTube has invited our video Hamilton Pagan Pride Day 2006 into their revenue sharing program! Please take a look and pass it along if you can!

Since we deal with a lot of music here at Rockin’ Films, I’m always interested in new developments in the field of music – it’s one of my loves as well!

Those of you who are not only music lovers, but appreciate what goes into the art and science of recoding music will be interested in the fact that Alan Parsons has recently released a DVD instruction series on audio production!

That’s the very Alan Parsons who engineered Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon album, the Alan Parson’s Project albums, along with many other memorable recordings.

The series of DVDs are called the Art and Science of Sound Recording and it looks pretty good to me! I’m going to pick up a copy one day soon!

It is Xmas yet? Does anyone want to buy me an early present? ;)

Nightmare Air Promo

April 16, 2010

Here is a promo I made for the band:

Recently, I shot a little interview with NIGHTMARE AIR that we are polishing up. It will be online shortly.

Also, we’re working on getting some more live clips online. Those may take a bit longer, as we will likely splice a couple camera angles together and touch up the sound. But, it shouldn’t take TOO long, so check back for these goodies to come!

This is one of my favourite new bands! Check out NIGHTMAREAIR.com to have a look and a listen!

Here’s some “Two Fisted, Twisted Rock’n'Roll!” for ya from London, Ontario’s BOBNOXIOUS!
